Five things we learned at Falcons practice on Tuesday

Here are five things we learned at practice on Tuesday:

1. Return of Freeman. Running back Devonta Freeman was cleared from the NFL's concussion protocol program and returned to practice. He was wearing a black "no contact" jersey.

2. Kazee update. Rookie free safety Damontae Kazee (ankle) worked off to the side with the trainers.

3. Swing tackle. Tackle Austin Pasztor (pectoral injury) was limited in practice and will not play in the exhibition finale against the Jaguars Thursday.

4. Defensive end addition. The Falcons added defensive lineman A.J. Jefferson and released wide receiver Bra'lon Cherry. Jefferson wore No. 69 at practice.

5. Punt returner. Wide receiver Marvin Hall was catching punts after practice. He's one of the fringe players trying to make the team and show that he could add depth to the special teams.
