With the Falcons approaching the 2017 NFL Draft, let's flash back to 1992 -- 25 years ago -- and look at the players selected by the franchise in the draft.

The Falcons had a pair of first-round draft picks in 1992 and used the first one to select Stanford offensive tackle Bob Whitfield (70).

Bob Whitfield was the first offensive lineman selected in the 1992 draft and played 12 seasons with the Falcons.

Bob Whitfield was a member of the 1998 NFC Championship team and addressed the crowd in downtown Atlanta at the end of a parade following the team's Super Bowl appearance.

The Falcons selected Southern Miss running back Tony Smith with their second first-round pick -- the 19th pick overall.

In the second round, the Falcons selected defensive end Chuck Smith from Tennessee.

Chuck Smith, a native of Athens, Ga., was selected with the 51st overall pick of the draft.

Chuck Smith was a starter on the Falcons' 1998 NFC Championship squad, the first team in franchise history to play in the Super Bowl.
