Falcons punter and kickoff specialist Matt Bosher suffered a hamstring injury against the Eagles and kicker Matt Bryant had to finish the game as the punter.

Wide receiver Mohamed Sanu was warming up as the emergency punter. Bryant went over and told him, he’d take over for Bosher.

He’s expected back for Arizona, but Falcons coach Dan Quinn said the team will likely bring in a punter so that Bosher can rest his hamstring.

“Bosher had an injury similar to the one that he had against Carolina and then we played Denver the following week and he was able to participate in that game,” Quinn said. “It’s a similar injury to what he had back then when he missed those few days of practice that week with his hamstring. So we are hopeful to see what he can do after our break and hopefully he’ll be ready to practice.”
