The availability of two of Georgia Tech’s more important players is in question for Wednesday night’s game at Miami at 8 p.m.

Center Ben Lammers is probable and forward Quinton Stephens is questionable to play. Both suffered ankle injuries in the Yellow Jackets’ victory against Boston College on Saturday. Stephens rolled his ankle early in the game and did not return. He said Monday that he expected to play against the Hurricanes.

Lammers played 39 minutes, but was held out of practice leading to Wednesday’s game, Pastner said.

The absence of either would be difficult for Tech to overcome, particularly Lammers, who has been on the floor 89 percent of the time of the Jackets’ ACC games and is the team’s second leading scorer and leading rebounder, the focal point of the offense and the team’s best defender. Stephens is the team’s second leading rebounder, its fourth leading scorer and has played the second most minutes behind Lammers.

The metrics website KenPom assigns Tech a 23 percent probability of beating Miami.
