Georgia Tech will start TaQuon Marshall at quarterback for the Yellow Jackets’ season opener against Tennessee in the Chick-fil-A Kickoff game Monday night. Coach Paul Johnson made the announcement on the Tech pregame radio show.

Marshall had been competing with Matthew Jordan, Lucas Johnson and Jay Jones. Marshall, a junior, will be making his first career start. As the No. 3 quarterback last season, he played 14 snaps at quarterback and threw one pass.
