Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson did not offer much in the way of injury updates Wednesday following his team’s practice.

“We’re seeing some progress, but we’re pretty banged up,” he said. “It was a pretty physical game on Saturday.”

Johnson said Tuesday that three offensive line starters would not participate in that day’s practice. Johnson was asked if they did not practice again Wednesday.

Johnson replied, “I don’t know.”

Tech guard Shamire Devine and offensive tackle Trey Klock have been trying to recover from ankle injuries. Klock started against Pittsburgh this past Saturday after missing the previous three but was not able to finish. Devine has started all six games but offensive line coach Mike Sewak said that his ankle “gives out on occasion.” Offensive tackle Andrew Marshall also left the Pitt game with a leg injury but returned.

Perhaps the most significant injury belongs to linebacker P.J. Davis, who left the Pitt game with an apparent hamstring injury. Davis is Tech’s leading tackler and has had the most tackles on the team the past two seasons.

Cornerback Step Durham missed his second consecutive game after leaving the Clemson with an ankle injury.

Updates will not be forthcoming until Saturday. As it is a non-conference game, Tech is not required to distribute an injury report.
