Three-star wide receiver Marlon Williams is expected to announce his college decision on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. Eastern Standard Time from McGill-Toolen High School in Mobile, Ala.

Williams is expected to choose between LSU, UCF and Georgia Tech.

Although Williams has “a pretty good idea” about what hat he’ll put on during his announcement ceremony on Wednesday, he decided to mull over his decision and wait until National Signing Day to fully commit.

A 6-foot, 205 pound senior, Williams went on an official visit over the weekend to Tech along with three other recruits who committed to Georgia Tech after their visits — defensive tackle Boe Tufele, safety Tariq Carpenter and safety Kaleb Oliver.

Williams attended his official visit with his mother, Robin Winters, who was a part of his decision process.

“She liked (Georgia Tech,)” Williams said. “She told me she liked the school and it had great academics and stuff.”

Georgia Tech has a different pull on Williams than LSU or UCF because Williams’ friends from childhood are Tech commits Tre Swilling and Bruce Jordan-Swilling. The three recruits used to play AAU basketball games together, according to Jordan-Swilling.

Regardless of what he chooses on Wednesday, Williams knows he would love playing with Swilling and Jordan-Swilling.

“Those two are some of my best friends,” Williams said. “It would be a great opportunity if I choose to go to Georgia Tech.”

Williams had offers from 11 total colleges including Tennessee, Southern California, Cincinnati and Missouri, according to 247 Sports.
