WHAT HE SAID

On how long it took him to decide on Tech: "It took me two days… My aunt lives in Carrollton, Georgia, and I used to visit (my aunt and uncle) a lot I was a kid and go to Atlanta. They've been huge Georgia Tech fans for a long time. It's a great school, I love the coach and they contacted me to at the beginning of my recruiting and I stuck with me all along. So I just thought it was the best place for me to go."

On why he decided on Tech: "I think just compared to all the other schools, there was just a clear outlier just in terms of academics and in terms of a program, in terms of coaches I would have. I think it was just an opportunity that I couldn't pass up."

On why he grew up in Hawaii: "My dad's in the military (and is) stationed at an air-force base down here. … It's awesome. It's beautiful, and the people are great. It's not cold. The weather is always great here."
