Last year’s G-Day Game was a must-see event.

Georgia fans responded to first-year coach Kirby Smart’s challenge to fill Sanford Stadium. They were rewarded with a  Ludacris show and a sneak peek of freshman quarterback Jacob Eason.

This year, “93K Day” has been a no-show.

Still, Smart expects another capacity crowd of 92,746 at Sanford Stadium on Saturday, April 22.

"I mean, our fan base should feel challenged," Smart told DawgNation's Chip Towers following the Bulldogs' second scrimmage of the spring Saturday at Sanford Stadium. "They should want to go out and have more (attendance) than the other teams have because it does help in recruiting. It shows the passion and the energy that I know our fan base has, so that really is important."

The G-Day Game is scheduled for a 2 p.m. kickoff Saturday in Athens. The game will be televised on SEC Network.
