Former Georgia Tech linebacker P.J. Davis has agreed to an undrafted free agent deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars.

He has one thing going for him. He knows the way. Davis finished his Tech career at the TaxSlayer Bowl in Jacksonville at EverBank Field, where he scored a touchdown on a fumble recovery.

“I know that (stadium) well, especially with that scoop-and-score down there,” Davis said. “Just trying to go down there and build off of that.”

Davis was a three-year starter for the Jackets, leading the team in tackles for two of the past three seasons. Overlooked because of his size (5-foot-11), Davis was of the last players to join the Tech signing class in 2013.

“I’ve always had a chip on my shoulder,” he said. “I’m used to this. I’ve been here before. This isn’t anything new.”
