Dwight Howard returned to his hometown when he signed a $70.5 million free-agent contract with the Hawks. He went to the NBA from Southwest Atlanta Christian Academy and was the first player selected in the 2004 NBA draft, by the Orlando Magic. The 6-foot-11 center said his return home signals a new beginning for him professionally.
