The Braves open a three-game series with the Nationals tonight at SunTrust Park. Tuesday will be a rematch from last week in Washington, with rookie starter Luiz Gohara opposing Nationals ace Max Scherzer.

There are six games left in SunTrust’s inaugural season. Here’s what’s happening lately with the Braves:

1. Justin Upton, well-traveled since the Braves traded him to the Padres in 2014, is still helping Atlanta. The trade's return is starting to pay dividends.

2. The final vote on the Braves' new spring training facility takes place today. The cost will exceed $100 million, roughly $25 million more than the previous estimate.

3. Alex Jackson, the Braves' prized catching prospect, sat down with the AJC to discuss his transition back to catcher and his thoughts on the organization.

4. If you've ever wondered what Freddie Freeman would look like as Willy Wonka, this post is for you.

5. Ronald Acuna was named among the most improved minor-league position players by MLB Pipeline. The Braves' top prospect is widely expected to start in the outfield on Opening Day 2018.
