The Braves have faced fewer left-handers than any other team in the major leagues, but Ender Inciarte has made the most of those opportunities.

Atlanta’s All-Star center fielder had three hits Saturday including two against Arizona lefty Patrick Corbin, raising his average against lefties to .365 (27-for-74), highest in the majors for any left-handed batter against lefty pitchers.

The Braves have faced only 11 lefty starting pitchers this season in 90 games and had a majors-low 540 at-bats against lefties before Sunday. No other team had fewer than 600 at-bats against lefties and two – the Indians and Giants – had more than 1,000 before Sunday.

Inciarte, batting .308 overall with a .354 OBP before Sunday, had a .365 average, .395 OBP and .459 slugging percentage in 81 plate appearances against lefties compared with .294/.344/.402 in 332 plate appearances against right-handers.

In his first season with the Braves in 2016, he hit .319 with a .365 OBP in 150 plate appearances against lefties and .281 with a .346 OBP in 428 plate appearances against right-handers.
