Chipper set to visit Braves camp

Recently elected Baseball Hall of Famer Chipper Jones is expected to visit Braves spring training as a guest instructor Monday, after serving as an honorary official Sunday at the Daytona 500 a couple of hours away.

The legendary former Braves third baseman will probably be in camp just one day on this visit but is set to return later in spring training for a few days. Former Braves players are invited back to serve as guest instructors each spring and usually spent several days to a week.

Andruw Jones, Chipper’s longtime former teammate and Braves 10-time Gold Glove center fielder, began a guest-instructor stint Sunday.
