Braves players say goodbye

Day after being eliminated from postseason play, retiring Brave Chipper Jones and other players empty out their lockers at Turner Field.

Retiring Braves third baseman Chipper Jones said from his locker: “This is a lot easier than I thought it would be than five years ago when I thought this moment would come,” Jones said. “That lets me know that I’m ready. I think if I were in here sobbing uncontrollably that it would be painfully apparent that I wasn’t ready to walk out the door, but I’m ready.”
