Brandon Beachy was impressive in his next-to-last scheduled rehab start for Triple-A Gwinnett on Saturday night, allowing four hits, one run and three walks with eight strikeouts in five innings against Columbus. He threw 60 strikes in 94 pitches.

In the final stages of recovery from “Tommy John” elbow surgery, Beachy is tentatively set to make one more start for Gwinnett and come off the disabled list for the Braves’ June 18 doubleheader against the Mets at Turner Field.

The Braves haven’t said or given any indication what change they might make to the starting rotation to accomodate Beachy after the doubleheader.
