Atlanta United fullback Greg Garza, in the starting lineup for the MLS All-Stars taking on Real Madrid on Wednesday at Soldier Field, may have suffered a shoulder injury in the game’s first 3 minutes.

After his first touch near the sideline, Garza collided with a Real Madrid player. Garza stayed down, and required help from the trainers to get up. He went to the bench and DaMarcus Beasley subbed in him a few minutes later.

Garza, 25, has started 20 games for the Five Stripes this season. He leads defenders in MLS with 26 chances created. He has one goal and three assists this season.

Atlanta United midfielder Miguel Almiron and centerback Michael Parkhurst are among the team’s reserves.

The rest of MLS All-Star starters are: goalkeeper Tim Howard (Colorado), right fullback Graham Zusi (Sporting KC), centerbacks Gelle Van Damme (L.A. Galaxy) and Johan Kappelhof (Chicago), midfielders Michael Bradley (Toronto), Bastian Schweinsteiger (Chicago) and Kaka (Orlando City), and forwards David Villa (NYCFC), Jozy Altidore (Toronto) and Sebastian Giovinco (Toronto).

Donald Trump's administration deployed the military to Washington, D.C., in the name of fighting crime, and in an Aug. 11 news conference he mentioned the possibility of military being sent to other large American cities, all of which are led by Black, Democratic mayors. And while Atlanta wasn't included in Trump's list, the city fits that profile under Mayor Andre Dickens. (Photo Illustration: Philip Robibero / AJC | Source: Getty)
