Georgia early voters hit 75,000 but turnout likely to lag

Georgia has entered its last week of early voting ahead of the July 22 runoff election, with more than 75,000 people having already cast their votes. The pace, however, lags that of the May 20 primary and could put the state on a path toward a single-digit turnout deciding several key races, including the nationally watched U.S. Senate contest between Republicans Jack Kingston and David Perdue. At this point two months ago, more than 111,000 Georgians had already voted early (for sake of comparison). Here's the latest, broken down by party.
