Windy Hill Road in Cobb reopens, gas leak cleared
A gas leak near Windy Hill Athletic Club that shut down the intersection Windy Hill Road and Interstate North Parkway Thursday afternoon has cleared, said Cobb County Fire Department spokesman Dan Dupree.
Authorities closed the intersection of Windy Hill and Interstate North for more than two hours after a construction crew hit a gas line, Dupree said. Fire crews left the scene at about 2:30 p.m.
The athletic club, located at 135 Interstate North Parkway, has reopened after being evacuated for several hours due to the gas leak.
