The Snellville City Council voted recently to approve $145,000 to complete the city’s Unified Development Ordinance. The project with urban planning firm TSW will consist mainly of code/document drafting and updates with public meetings.

City documents note the proposal is for $145,000, but as in Phase 1 and II, City Manager Butch Sanders believes the city will save 20 percent over the course of the work enabling their $120,000 budget to easily cover the end cost.

A unified development ordinance combines zoning and subdivision regulations with other city regulations, including design guidelines, sign regulations, and stormwater management into one document.
