Will Atlanta welcome 2018 with snow? It’s possible, according to forecasters.

“All the data is indicating a chance of snow as we ring in 2018,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

But, a lot can change between now and Sunday, and forecasters will continue to watch the weather pattern in the coming days, Nitz said.

The chilly temperatures are expected to last through the week. The high temperature Thursday is expected to reach 42 degrees before dipping into the upper 20s overnight into Friday.

Mostly sunny skies will help Saturday’s temperature hit the upper 40s, Nitz said. Snow could begin falling Sunday evening, he said.
