A former prostitute testified Friday that she was “very confident” she had sex with Ross Harris just weeks before Harris’ son Cooper died after being left in his father’s SUV for seven hours.

Daneila Doerr said Harris initially contacted her after finding her services in an ad. She said they had sex together on three occasions in May 2014.

“It was strictly business and you’re on your way,” Doerr testified, describing what occurred. She described Harris as “very relaxed” and “dumpy.”

Prosecutors say Harris intentionally killed his son so he could become single and swing with different women. They say his desire to have sex with prostitutes showed how reckless his sexual promiscuity had become.

Doerr said police asked her to identify Harris after she was caught in a sting by a Cobb police officer who posed as a man who wanted to hire her as a prostitute.

“My words were, ‘I’m going to jail,’” she testified, describing her thoughts after being busted. She noted she was already on probation for marijuana possession.

But Cobb police didn’t want to arrest her, she said. They wanted her to see if she could identify Harris, whom they’d linked to her through calls made on his cellphone.

Doerr said she immediately decided the “best bet” for her was to cooperate. When they showed her Harris’ picture, she said, she remembered who he was.

“I was very confident I recognized him,” she said. “I was at least 90 percent sure.”

Doerr said she felt so confident because she mostly engaged in sex with African-American clients. So Harris, being white, stood out.

Also, there were other things reminded her of him. “He just took no care in his appearance,” she said. ” … I really just didn’t care about his appearance.”

When asked, Doerr identified Harris who was seated at the defense table.
