Severe weather is not forecast, but isolated rain showers are expected Sunday, meteorologists say.

Increased humidity increases the chance or rain through evening, Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Katie Walls said.

“The best chances for rain come after sunset,” Walls said.

The high on Sunday hit 81 degrees.

Temperatures in Georgia are running about 12 degrees higher than the average for this time of year, Walls said.

It’s muggy and warm, but a cold front is expected to bring down temperatures by Tuesday, Walls said.

That means more fall-like temperatures in the 40s through midweek.
