Jonesboro approves CVS package license, youth training lab

The Jonesboro City Council approved a conditional use permit during the regular meeting last week. The permit was to allow a professional computer training facility for young people at property located at 184 North Ave., Suite 106. The council also approved a license to sell package beer and wine at the new CVS located at 8139 Tara Boulevard.

Another agenda item was discussed but not acted upon. Patricia Thompson filed a zoning appeal on behalf of Touched by an Angel Beauty Salon LLC, located at 151 North Main St. Although a motion was made to approve Thompson’s appeal, the motion was not seconded, therefore the item was not approved or denied, and the council moved passed the item without making any decision on it.
