The family of a 3-year-old found unresponsive in a swimming pool is seeking donations to cover the boy’s funeral costs.
Jagger Settles died Monday after a Bartow County deputy pulled him from the above-ground pool behind his family’s home. The boy’s mother, Bobbie Jessica Prather, was arrested the same day and charged with murder. Investigators believe Prather left Jagger and three other children alone at least 14 hours before the boy was found in the pool.

An aunt of the boy has set up a Go Fund Me page to assist with funeral costs.
“Heaven gained a beautiful angel with the passing of our precious nephew,” a message on the website states. “We are brokenhearted but know that he is in the arms of Jesus. As you can imagine this loss was unexpected and we are scrambling to find a way to pay for the funeral.”
Prather was also charged with four counts of first-degree cruelty to children. She was denied bond at her first court appearance Wednesday and his being held at the Bartow jail.
