39 DeKalb students named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists

Two students from Druid Hills High School were named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. The school could be taken from DeKalb County if an Atlanta annexation of the Druid Hills area eventually came to pass.

Two students from Druid Hills High School were named National Merit Scholarship semifinalists. The school could be taken from DeKalb County if an Atlanta annexation of the Druid Hills area eventually came to pass.

DeKalb County students (39 of them) are semifinalists for the prestigious National Merit Scholarship.

Across the country, 16,000 seniors are nominated for the scholarships, which will be awarded in the spring. The program said students are evaluated on their GPA, extracurricular activities, “moral character” and other factors.
