The DeKalb County School District announced its monthly meeting will begin an hour earlier Monday, to avoid a conflict with the evening's College Football Playoff National Championship featuring the University of Georgia and Alabama.

District officials said the business meeting will begin at 6 p.m., as opposed to its normal 7 p.m. start time. The community input session, normally scheduled for 5:45 p.m., will begin at 4:45 p.m.

The district’s executive session will begin at its regularly scheduled 1 p.m. start time, followed by the board work session at 2 p.m.

UGA plays Alabama for the national championship at 8 p.m.
