The Technical College System of Georgia will hold a dedication and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Alpharetta-North Fulton campus of Gwinnett Technical College on Friday.

The ceremony comes a year after groundbreaking for the new 25-acre campus, and two months after the campus opened to students for the first day of classes in January.

Plans are for the campus to eventually triple from one building to three buildings to eventually serve 10,000 students.

Gwinnett Tech is one of the 22 institutions in the state’s tech college system. It currently serves more than 18,000 students each year through more than 150 associate degree, diploma and certificate program.

The dedication ceremony begins at 10 a.m. on March 4 in the main lobby of the new campus located at 2875 Old Milton Parkway in Alpharetta.
