Atanta Public Schools will partner with PUMA, the worldwide athletic shoe and apparel company, to relaunch a line of shoes commemorating David T. Howard High School’s most famous alumnus, Walter “Clyde” Frazier.

PUMA is rebranding its signature shoe and apparel lines, including “The Clyde” shoes worn by Atlanta native Frazier. The National Basketball Association Hall of Famer graduated from the high school in 1963.

A portion of royalties from the Puma Legacy Collection will help fund field trips, cultural experiences, uniforms and MARTA cards for APS students.

“We are thrilled to announce this partnership with PUMA and the David T. Howard Alumni Association,” said APS Superintendent Meria J. Carstarphen. “David T. Howard High School and the David T. Howard Alumni Association are woven into the fabric of Atlanta. They are Atlanta.”

The collection may be purchased at Foot Locker stores and PUMA Labs.
