Actor-director John Malkovich will give the commencement address on Saturday for the Savannah College of Art and Design.

The two-time Academy Award nominee will speak at the commencement ceremony on its Savannah campus at 9 a.m. as well as the 6 p.m. ceremony on its Atlanta campus.

In Savannah, he will receive an honorary doctorate of humane letters, the college said. In Atlanta, he will receive the SCAD Étoile for his work in fashion, film, television and the performing arts.

Malkovich is best known for his role as Vicomte de Valmont in the 1988 film “Dangerous Liaisons”, starring along Glenn Close and Michelle Pfeiffer. He was nominated for an Oscar as best actor in that role.

Malkovich was also nominated for an Oscar as best supporting actor for his role in the Clint Eastwood film “In The Line of Fire.”

He’s also starred in films such as “The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy” and “Being John Malkovich.”
