A 22-year-old man wanted in connection with a shooting death in Rome is in custody, authorities said.

Michael David Yates, who was described as armed and dangerous, was captured about 1 a.m. Saturday in the Bartow County city of Adairsville, Rome police confirmed.

Yates was arrested at a traffic stop without incident, the Rome News Tribune reported.

Yates is accused of fatally shooting Scotty Dale Graham, 38, on Friday, officials said. The victim had multiple gunshot wounds to his chest.

The suspect left the shooting scene in a truck, which he crashed nearby, then ran away, officials said.
