Gwinnett police have linked a man accused of raping, choking and robbing a 28-year-old woman as she loaded food into her car to three similar cases in the area.

Euqeill Williams, 22, of Buford is charged with rape, armed robbery and kidnapping a woman outside the Golden Buddha on Buford Drive on April 13, Gwinnett police said in a media release Thursday.

The victim told police that she had ordered food from the restaurant and was loading it into her car when she was approached from behind by the suspect, police said. He told her to get into the vehicle or she would be shot. When she got into the vehicle, he choked her and demanded money. After taking her credit card, the suspect raped the victim in the back seat of her vehicle.

During the assault, the victim recalled that the suspect was wearing a wig, which she was able to pull off. She fled the scene after the assault.

The other cases were from August 2015 to April 4, police said. One incident was at an apartment complex, and the other two were outside Buford businesses. No charges have been filed in those cases.
