The scene was cleared Friday afternoon at Ola Middle School in Henry County after a bomb threat was reported earlier, officials said.

Henry County police searched the scene, which is on North Ola Road in McDonough.

Dismissal procedures began about 4:22 p.m., according to a phone message from officials to the school community.

“Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in helping us ensure the safety and security of our students and staff,” the message said.
