The University of Georgia Police Department sent out a warning Tuesday about a reported attempted rape and attempted kidnapping of a student.

The alleged incident took place Saturday night near the dorms on Baxter Street, according to the warning.

A student reported to university housing that her roommate was the victim of an attempted kidnapping and rape by an unknown suspect sometime after 10 p.m.

No description of the suspect was given, and the victim did not speak to law enforcement since university housing contacted UGA police on the victim’s behalf.
