A large fire at a Cobb County apartment complex displaced nine people, authorities said.
An apartment building within the Westhaven at Vinings Apartments was fully engulfed in flames once firefighters arrived Tuesday afternoon, Channel 2 Action News reported.

All residents were able to be evacuated without injury, according to Channel 2. The fire was extinguished about 5 p.m., but the building’s roof and top floor were completely destroyed during the blaze.

The Red Cross is assisting seven of the people displaced, while the apartment complex has offered overnight lodging to everyone displaced, the nonprofit said in a news release. Two of the residents were not home at the time of the fire.
Firefighters are investigating the cause of the blaze. No other details have been released.
