Home security footage obtained by Channel 2 Action News appears to show DeKalb County Sheriff Jeffrey Mann running from an Atlanta police officer minutes before his arrest for exposing himself and obstruction.

Mann, who called his arrest late Saturday night in a popular cruising area of Piedmont Park a misunderstanding, can also be seen being led away in handcuffs by the officer who said the sheriff led him on a quarter-mile chase.

Through his lawyer, Mann says he has no plans to resign. He’s under investigation by the agency that certifies law enforcement officers that could lead to his removal as sheriff.

Georgia law also allows the governor to convene a panel of two sheriffs and the state attorney general to investigate the allegations and recommend whether he should be suspended. No word yet from the governor’s office on whether that will take place.
