The charm and character of this historical Victorian is back with a vengeance. Josh and Joey Bolton-Rogers, an Atlanta couple that does renovations, have turned this former Grant Park plain Jane into a Rosalia Street stunner. The detailed renovation included converting a bathroom into a laundry room, a complete kitchen overhaul, a bathroom addition, tearing down walls and restoring the wood floors to their former glory.

Open kitchen shelving, white subway tile, and a beautiful exposed fireplace gives this 1800s home a fresh and modern feel that stays true to its roots. According to Josh and Joey, they were able to keep most of the original flooring while making the fireplaces showpieces of the home.

In addition to fireplaces and flooring vintage details like claw foot tubs and woodwork keep the homes historical while sliding barn doors and open shelving make the home feel fresh and unique. Open kitchen shelving may not be for everyone, but it is becoming a staple in Bolton-Rogers renovations.

"You either love them or hate them, but they are what is currently à la mode," Josh said. "This shelving gives the home a distinct airy and open feel."

The home offers a shabby chic style with a touch of industrial farmhouse, blending elegance and rugged masculinity. Calming colors mixed with raw woods, soft metals and classic décor makes this a good home for any Southern family. The picturesque backyard rich landscaping, deck and party lights make this oasis good for neighborhood parties and nights by the fire.

After months of hard work, these Fixer-Upper-inspired designers listed the 2,567 square-foot beauty at $649,900, which is quite a jump from the original purchase price of $431,650.

Josh and Joey began renovations as a way to help cover the cost of their daughter's adoption. Fixing and selling their first home served as a creative outlet for both. According to Bolton, their ultimate goal is to turn this dream into a full-time career. Their plan is to renovate "three to five more homes, build up a strong portfolio" and making house flipping their permanent profession.

"We love Grant Park and we love exposing the beauty and character of these historic homes throughout Atlanta," said Josh.

While this property was recently under contract it is now off the market. Keep an eye out for a listing reappearance this spring if you can picture yourself there.
