There are a number of companies across the metro Atlanta area seeking new employees of all skill levels. Whether you're in retail, healthcare or finance, there are opportunities that span several industries. Here's a brief snapshot of what's available this month:

The company is creating 20 openings. New jobs will include a business license compliance official, communications coordinator, personnel specialist, systems support specialist, Development and Inspection Division manager, economic development specialist, landscape architect, nuisance abatement and housing code coordinator, public service technician III, zoning analyst, two plans examiners, four code enforcement officers and four construction inspectors.

With more than 40 positions open throughout the metro area, David's Bridal is hiring seasonal, part-time and full-time positions. Job openings include store managers, stylists, customer service and sales representatives. Apply online for a position at the Atlanta, Duluth, Kennesaw or Lithonia location.

Hartsfield-Jackson International is hosting a job fair with employers at the airport offering more than 500 jobs. The job fair is scheduled for Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center, with more than 40 employers hiring. Interested job seekers can register for the job fair in advance.Jobs available include administrative workers, baggage handlers, baristas, bartenders, dishwashers, cashiers, managers, cooks, sales associates, servers, civil engineers, HVAC technicians and aviation maintenance technicians, among others.z

The company said that it plans to hire at least 70,000 seasonal workers during the busy fall and winter months.

Target also plans to hire an additional 7,500 people for distribution facilities, which ship online orders and send products to stores. The discount chain said it will hold hiring events at all of its 1,800 stores on Oct. 14 and 15. Candidates can also apply online. The company also said existing employees will get "first dibs" on any extra holiday hours they want.

This healthcare company is currently looking to fill at least 40 jobs in metro Atlanta. While the majority of openings are for full-time positions, there are a few telecommuting gigs available as well.
