HBO's newest series Sunday features Amy Adams and is based on the book by Gillian Flynn (Gone Girl). She plays Camille Preaker, who returns to her hometown to investigate the murders of two young girls. It was also shot in metro Atlanta.

Also, Jerry Seinfeld's 10th season of "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" returns on Netflix Friday with notable fellow funny folks such as Ellen DeGeneres and the late Jerry Lewis.

And Syfy’s “12 Monkeys” finishes up its fourth and final season Friday.

This covers Monday, July 2 through Sunday, July 8, 2018.

MONDAY

"The Bachelorette" 8 p.m. ABC — Richmond, Virginia, whose past is inextricably connected to America's rich history, is the backdrop for a defining week in Becca's journey.

"Dietland" 9 p.m. AMC — Beaten up and distraught, Plum seeks refuge in Calliope House, fighting to come to terms with who she really is.

"In the Cut" 9 p.m. Bounce TV (fourth season debut) — Jay battles with an unanswered proposal from Cheryl. Smitty sabotages Kenny's chances of finding an apartment.

"Salvation" 9 p.m. CBS — Darius and Grace must forge an emotional détente in order to get international cooperation.

"Elementary" 10 p.m. CBS — Sherlock and his father, Morland Holmes, attempt to repair their strained relationship upon learning of a death within their family.

TUESDAY

"Animal Kingdom" 9 p.m. TNT — J tries to make his relationship with Nicky work as he faces pressure from Smurf to clean up loose ends from Javi's murder.

"Humans" 10 p.m. AMC — While Sam reels from recent events and Joe struggles to help him through it, truths are revealed and dangerous plans put into action at the Railyard.

"Love Is__" 10 p.m. BET — Nuri and Yasir's time together is interrupted and Yasir faces another setback. Later, Yasir is shocked to find Ruby in pain following a surgery, which causes him to miss his date with Nuri.

"The Last Defense" 10 p.m. ABC — Darlie's current defense team explores alternative theories that the jury may not have fully considered and lays out their strategy for a retrial.

WEDNESDAY

"Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest" noon ESPN — Joey Chestnut broke the world record with 72 hot dogs in 10 minutes last year. This was his 10th victory.  

"Fourth of July at the White House" 8 p.m. Hallmark — Sara Evans and two former "Idol" contestants Jax and Jonny Brens perform.

"Macy's Fourth of July Spectacular" 8 p.m. NBC — Performers include Jennifer Lopez, Lady Antebellum, Sheryl Crow, Brad Paisley, Charlie Puth and Hailee Steinfeld.

"A Capitol Fourth" 9 p.m. GPB — John Stamos hosts the annual celebration of America's birthday, which features Jimmy Buffett and the Broadway cast of "Escape to Margaritaville"; the Beach Boys; Pentatonix; the Temptations; Luke Combs; Lauren Alaina; CeCe Winans.

"Georgia Salutes America" 9 p.m. WSB — "American Idol" runner-up and Dallas resident Caleb Lee Hutchinson performs.

"Code Black" 10 p.m. CBS — While rescuing an injured firefighter, Rox is hit by a drunk driver and rushed to Angels Memorial.

"Colony" 10 p.m. USA — Will and Katie question whether their family is safe in Seattle.

THURSDAY

"Marvel's Cloak & Dagger" 8 p.m. Freeform — Tyrone heads down a dangerous path to get closer to Det. Connors, as Tandy pretends to be a Roxxon intern in an attempt to get answers.

"Marlon" 9 p.m. NBC — Marlon, Stevie, Yvette and Ashley all attend homecoming weekend at Howell University.

"Match Game" 9 p.m. ABC — Joel McHale, Constance Zimmer, David Arquette, Caroline Rhea, Michael Ealy and Laverne Cox.

"Nashville" 9 p.m. CMT — Scarlett tries to help Sean but he questions her motivations. Deacon deals with forgiveness and a new family dynamic when a visitor comes to stay.

"Take Two" 10 p.m. ABC  A popular nightclub owner, and one of Eddie's old nemeses, hires Eddie and Sam to track down his club's missing DJ.

FRIDAY

"Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" 3:01 a.m. Netflix (10th season debut)  Jerry Seinfeld talks to Dave Chappelle, Ellen DeGeneres, Zach Galifianakis, Tracy Morgan, Alec Baldwin, John Mulaney, Kate McKinnon, Hasan Minhaj, Dana Carvey, Brian Regan, Neal Brennan and the late Jerry Lewis.

"Quantico" 8 p.m. ABC — Lives are in danger as the team protects Shelby when she reunites with someone from her past, resulting in deadly consequences.

"12 Monkeys" 10 p.m. Syfy (series finale) — When all hope is lost, Cole must complete his cycle so that his younger self will one day arrive at the end with the answer.

WEEKEND

"Bill Maher: Triggered" 10 p.m. Saturday HBO — Instead of his weekly news show, we hear his stand-up rage against the Trump Machine.

"Murdered at 17" 8 p.m. Sunday Lifetime — Ever since pretty, popular 17-year-old Brooke sustained a head injury during a cheerleading stunt, she's suffered from IED disorder that causes her to fly into uncontrollable, sometimes violent rages. A year later, she meets Jake, a handsome and charismatic stranger, and finds herself getting swept up in the romance. The creative renaissance in television enjoyed groundbreaking shows such as "The Sopranos," "Mad Men," "Breaking Bad," "Lost," "Survivor" and "American Idol."

"The Affair" 9 p.m. Sunday Showtime —Alison and Ben dig into her past and begin confronting her fears. Cole's relationship with Alison is jeopardizing his marriage to Luisa.

"Sharp Objects" 9 p.m. Sunday HBO (new series) — St. Louis Chronicle reporter Camille Preaker (Amy Adams) returns to her rural hometown of Wind Gap, Mo., to file a story about two missing girls, one of whom was found dead and presumed murdered.

"Preacher" 10 p.m. Sunday AMC — While Jesse works to pay back his debt to Gran'ma, Tulip and Cassidy risk their safety as they formulate their own plans to get out of Angelville.

"Shades of Blue" 10 p.m. Sunday NBC — Harlee focuses her sights on taking down the intelligence unit.
