An old favorite has returned to Buford Highway.

Gu's Kitchen opened Saturday in Chamblee after a three year absence from the celebrated culinary roadway, Eater Atlanta first reported.

The beloved Gu's Bistro shuttered in March 2015 at 5750 Buford Highway and was later replaced by Sichuan restaurant Good Luck Gourmet.

The team behind Gu's continued to offer their Zhong style dumplings and other staples at Gu's Dumplings, which opened at Krog Street Market in 2015. Gu's also has a location planned for the Halcyon development in Forsyth County.

Gu’s Kitchen takes over the space previously occupied by Yong He Zhi Jia at the Orient Center.

For now, the restaurant is open from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday, with plans to extend the hours in the future.
