Most everyone agrees the “Beer Jobs Bill” recently signed into law is a step forward for Georgia’s craft breweries. But consensus stops there. Behind the scenes, some craft brewers feel shortchanged and bullied by the state’s three-tier system that protects members of the Georgia Beer Wholesalers Association. Today, we hear from the craft beer association, lamenting this “over-regulation” from a Republican-dominated Legislature, and from the senator who sponsored the bill. (The Georgia Beer Wholesalers Association declined an invitation to write on this topic.)
