One of Georgia’s largest pro-business groups is launching a nine-month study to address our health care crisis. The Georgia Chamber of Commerce, along with the Georgia Alliance of Community Hospitals and Georgia Hospital Association, hopes to find ways to fix failing rural hospitals and cover uninsured residents — albeit without expanding Medicaid. Today, a health industry reporter criticizes the decision not to study Medicaid expansion, while a chamber officer and businessman writes about the need to find creative solutions.
