About Georgia Tech’s fight song: ‘Ramblin’ Wreck’

The “Ramblin’ Wreck From Georgia Tech” is the school’s official fight song. It was adapted from an old English drinking song called “The Son of a Gambolier.” The lyrics boast of engineering prowess and whiskey consumption. And it manages to encapsulate a hatred of state rival Georgia Bulldogs.

If you’ve ever heard the words of Georgia Tech’s fight song “Ramblin’ Wreck,” you’ll note that they talk about engineering, whiskey and a hatred of the University of Georgia.
