Luiz Gohara didn’t get many breaks, and the Braves lost the opener against the Nationals on Tuesday night at SunTrust Park.

The latest in today’s Braves news:

1. Despite the loss, Gohara pitched better than his line indicated. His teammates have been impressed.

2. Braves center fielder Ender Inciarte injured his thumb last night. He's likely to rest Wednesday.

3. Speaking of Wednesday, Lucas Sims will leave the bullpen for a spot start. He's excited for the opportunity.

4. Catching up with the catchers: Tyler Flowers needs a little more time before returning, while rookie David Freitas is enjoying his first taste of the bigs.

5. The Braves' new spring training facility received final approval yesterday. The organization will break ground in North Port, Florida, next month.
