Fall-like weather is expected to last through the end of the week.
Atlanta should be in the mid-60s by 10 p.m. before dipping back into the 50s, where they were Thursday morning.
“It (was) the coolest start since May 8,” Channel 2 meteorologist Katie Walls said. “Below-average temperatures will stick around through the weekend, too.”
The metro area should wake up to 57 degrees, but don’t expect the cool temps to last.
Atlanta could see a return to 80-degree weather as early as Friday when the expected high is 81. This weekend should be breezy with temps in the low 80s to mid-70s, Channel 2 reported.
Currently, the temperature is 71 degrees, Channel 2 reported. Atlanta reached a high of 76.
