The Atlanta Journal-Constitution’s Ken Sugiura reported LiAngelo Ball and two other UCLA freshmen basketball players will serve 20 days under house arrest for their roles in a police investigation in Hangzhou, China.
Citing a source familiar with the situation, Sugiura reported the Ball, Jalen Hill and Cody Riley could all serve punishment at the Hyatt Regency Hangzhou after being arrested for reportedly shoplifting from a Louis Vuitton next to the hotel.
The three players were released on bond on Wednesday.
Georgia Tech players were also questioned earlier in the week in connection with the incident, but none were arrested.
UCLA plays Georgia Tech on Saturday (Friday night at 11:30 p.m. in the U.S.) in Shanghai.
Ball, Hill and Riley will not play in the game.
