Report: Dwight Howard seeking $500 million in damages

NBA star Dwight Howard says in court papers the mother of his son has violated their court agreement so many times, she now should pay him $500 million in damages, TMZ.com is reporting.

The celebrity website says Howard is accusing Royce Reed of leaking stories to the media about him at least 11 times, in violation of a gag order. A representative for Reed, who stars on VH1's "Basketball Wives," countered that the information originated from  legal documents and thus does not violate the order, according to TMZ.com.

Howard, the Atlanta native and Orlando Magic center, and Reed, a former dancer for the Magic and Miami Heat, had a son, Braylon, in November 2007. They have battled over custody arrangements, her participation on the reality show and other issues. Howard's contract with the Magic pays him $16.5 million a year.
