Watch: Atlanta’s Sam Cronin scores first goal this season for Colorado

Atlanta’s Sam Cronin scored his first goal for Colorado in Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Philadelphia.

On a counterattack in the 86th minute, Cronin beat his man to the near post and headed a cross into the oppposite corner to give his team a 1-0 lead.

Cronin, whose hometown is listed as Winston-Salem, is in his second year with the Rapids after starting his MLS career with Toronto in 2009, where he spent two years, before playing for San Jose from 2010-14.

The midfielder has started 14 games for Colorado this season. The Rapids are atop the Western Conference with 28 points from 14 games.
