Friends and family in Southaven, Miss. are proud of their hometown hero - Braves All-Star third baseman Austin Riley.

Beans & Leaves, a coffee shop in Silo Square in Southaven, has a life-size image of Braves All-Star and hometown hero Austin Riley.

Another famous Mississippian - award-winning actor Morgan Freeman - is also recognized in Beans & Leaves.

Mark Monaghan, the head baseball coach at DeSoto Central High School in Southaven, Miss., stands by a display at the school of former player and hometown hero Austin Riley.

Austin Riley's contribution to his high school team is visible for all to see as his retired number is displayed on the outfield wall at the school's stadium.

Austin Riley led the DeSoto Central Jaguars to the Class 6A state championship in 2015, and was selected by the Braves in the first round of the MLB draft shortly thereafter.
