The Thrashers concluded the 2010 NHL draft with eight selections in Rounds 2-7 on Saturday. Here’s a look at the picks:

Julian Melchiori

Pick: No. 87, third round

Team: Newmarket, Central Canadian Hockey League

Position: Defenseman

Ht., wt.: 6-foot-3, 186 pounds

Born: Dec. 6, 1991 in Richmond Hill, Ontario

The skinny: He scored 23 points (seven goals, 16 assists) and was a plus-3 in 39 games last season for Newmarket. ... He also added 11 points (two goals, nine assists) in 19 playoff games. ... He is committed to play for the University of Massachusetts-Lowell next season. ...He is the nephew of former NHL players Mark and Mike Murphy.

Ivan Telegin

Pick: No. 101, fourth round

Team: Saginaw, Ontario Hockey League

Position: Left wing

Ht., wt.: 6-2, 194

Born: Feb. 28, 1992 in Novokyzneck, Russia

The skinny: He scored 44 points (26 goals, 18 assists) in 51 games last season for Saginaw. ... He finished third in scoring for OHL rookies. ... He was a runner-up for the OHL's Rookie of the Year award. … He represented Russia at the 2010 World Junior Championships.

Fredrik Pettersson-Wentzel

Pick: No. 128, fifth round

Team: Almtuna, Sweden-2

Position: Goaltender

Ht., wt.: 6-1, 169

Born: July 23, 1991 in Uppsala, Finland

The skinny: He had a 1.85 goals-against average, a .924 save percentage and six shutouts in 37 games for Almtuna. ... He posted a 2.16 goal-against average and .914 save percentages in 10 postseason games. He was ranked the No. 2 European goaltender by Central Scouting.

Yasin Cisse

Pick: No. 150, fifth round

Position: Right wing

Born: March 11, 1992 in Montreal

The skinny: He scored 19 points (13 goals, six assists) in 18 games for Des Moines. ... He suffered a season-ending ankle injury in December. He tore a tendon when he was cut by a skate. ... He has committed to Boston University.

Kendall McFaull

Pick: No. 155, sixth round

Team: Moose Jaw, Western Hockey League

Position: Defenseman

Tanner Lane
